Joachim is a passionate technologist from Singapore and currently based in California. He has led a diverse set of projects and teams over the last decade that range in topics from developing applications to building machine learning models. With a strong foundation in data analytics, user engagement, and agile methodologies, Joachim excels in driving product innovation and enhancing operational efficiency across various industries.

Joachim's most recent work was a Product Manager at Outer Labs Right now he is currently interning as a Machine Learning Engineer/Data Scientist at a Stealth Start-Up and pursuing a Data Science Master’s degree at Rice University, specializing in Machine Learning

Entreprenuial-ish

In 2021, Joachim founded Kaiva to create an online platform and community studio for artists to network and showcase their work to mainstream consumers. In this role, he led the development of a B2C e-commerce website that enabled artists to list and sell their products. He also conducted consumer research and developed product roadmaps to align marketing, design, merchandising, and development efforts, ensuring a cohesive strategy across all initiatives.

Cultural-ish

While at ExxonMobil, Joachim was elected to lead a 20-member global change management team for the company's IT department, comprising over 5,000 staff. In this role, he spearheaded a 2-year culture change initiative by partnering with Kotter Inc. and key management to foster a more innovative and collaborative environment. Joachim traveled to USA, Brazil, Canada, Thailand and Budapest, where he conducted workshops that helped drive new levels of performance, innovation, and collaboration across ExxonMobil’s global IT department, impacting over 9,000 employees worldwide.
